FLI was founded in 2021 by owner Jake Sorensen. Jake has had a career of dedicated service to country and community. Jake is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps Infantry and recently honorably retired from law enforcement after 14 years of service. Jake has extensive experience in complex investigations to include; homicides, domestic violence, sex crimes, child abuse, violent crimes, missing persons, D.U.I.’s and fatal/non-fatal traffic collisions. Jake has testified as an expert and served as investigating officer during multiple jury trials including homicide trials. Jake also represented his peers for 6 years as the Secretary / Treasurer for his peace officer’s association and dealt with internal affairs and labor issues. Jake has a strong investigative mind and is faithful to the truth.
